چکیده

[1] The photodissociation of acetone has been studied over the wavelength (l) range 279–327.5 nm as a function of temperature (T) and pressure (p) using a spectroscopic method to monitor the acetyl (CH3CO) radical fragment. Above 310 nm the quantum yield (QY) is substantially smaller than previous measurements, and decreases with T. The QYs for production of CH3CO + CH3 and CH3 + CH3 + CO have been parameterised as a function of l, p and T and used to calculate the altitude dependence of the photolysis frequency. In the upper troposphere (UT) the acetone photolysis lifetime is a factor of 2.5–10 longer, dependent upon latitude and season, than if the previously recommended QYs are used.

Synthesis, characterization, and gas sensing properties of In-doped ZnO nanopowders

Indium (1at %) doped ZnO and ZnO nanoparticles have been synthesized via sol gel method. The structural characters of the synthesized nanoparticles have been studied by X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersiveX-ray spectroscopy (EDX). From synthesized nanopowders a tablet was prepared by using the isostatic pressing and then sintered at ...

Modeling of High Temperature GaN Quantum Dot Infrared Photodetectors

In this paper, we present calculations for different parameters of quantum dot infrared photodetectors. We considered a structure which includes quantum dots with large conduction-band-offset materials (GaN/AlGaN). Single band effective mass approximation has been applied in order to calculate the electronic structure. Throughout the modeling, we tried to consider the limiting factors which dec...

Products of the Self-Reaction of HCO Radicals: Theoretical Kinetics Studies

The mechanism of the self-reaction of HCO radicals is investigated by using high-level quantum-chemical methods including M05-2X, CCSD, CCSD(T) and CRCC(2,3). Next, the rate coefficients for several product channels as a function of pressure and temperature are computed by employing statistical rate theories. Four important product channels are predicted to be CO + CO + H2, HCOH + OH, cis-(HCO)...

NO(2) quantum yields from ultraviolet photodissociation of methyl and isopropyl nitrate.

Quantum yields, Phi(NO(2)), are reported for the NO(2) formation channel (RO + NO(2)) following photodissociation of methyl and isopropyl nitrate (CH(3)ONO(2) and C(3)H(7)ONO(2)) at the tropospherically relevant wavelengths of 308-320 nm. Measurements were made using ultra-violet (UV) laser absorption and cavity ring down spectroscopy (CRDS) detection of the NO(2) photoproducts. Analysis of CRD...

Linear and nonlinear optical properties of a modified Gaussian quantum dot: pressure, temperature and impurity effect

In this paper, the effect of pressure, temperature and impurity on the energylevels, binding energy, linear and nonlinear optical properties of a modified Gaussianquantum dot are studied. In this regard, the finite element method is employed to solvethe single electron Schrodinger equation in the effective mass approximation with andwithout impurity at the center of the dot. In addition, the en...
